Self-Pollinating

An excellent choice for first-time fruit growers!

This Stark Exclusive is the ‘queen’ of nectarines, producing large crops of beautiful, high-quality fruit. Stark® SunGlo originated as a cross between the Sun Grand nectarine and a commercially unnamed nectarine known as the Anderson B-ll. It was introduced in 1962 by Stark Bro’s and Fred Anderson in Merced, CA.

Beautiful pink blossoms greet you in spring followed by large, yellow-freestone nectarines ripen in early August. Excellent for cooking, canning, freezing and eating fresh off the tree. These premium nectarines have a long storage life.

The Stark® SunGlo Nectarine tree is hardy and very productive. Expect a reliable crop year after year.

How do I find my Hardiness Zone?

Canada’s Plant Hardiness Zones will tell you which plants will do well in your particular climate. Each zone is determined by the lowest average winter temperature recorded in a given area. Hardiness Zone information is included on all tree and plant product pages, so you know instantly whether a certain plant is likely to succeed where you live. Natural Resources Canada provides helpful options to find your zone:

I order my trees from Starks because I always get healthy trees. However, shipping continues to be a problem. The boxes are stout with plenty of staples but the trees are never tied down. The wet newspaper for the roots was everywhere except on the roots. The trees must of been flopping around during shipping. The lower bigger branches were wiped clean off on one side. It does have 4 evenly spaced punny branches alt the very top. By the time it fruits I won’t be able to reach them. I’m to old to get on a ladder in our sandy soil.

Bought two they look great. Love this purchase can’t wait for a more mature tree and fruit.
