America’s favorite cherry!
This early-season tree will give you pound after pound of bright-red, tart fruits—use them to make utterly delicious pies and cobblers, or freeze them for later use. The yellow flesh makes clear juice. A naturally dwarf tree, ideal for small spaces. Originates from Montmorency Valley, France in the 13th century, introduced to the U.S. in 1852. Cold-hardy. Ripens in June. Self-pollinating.

Pollination
This variety is self pollinating.
In many cases, you may still want to plant pollinating partners to increase the size of your crops, but with self-pollinating varieties doing so is optional. You’ll get fruit with only one plant!
How do I find my Hardiness Zone?
Canada’s Plant Hardiness Zones will tell you which plants will do well in your particular climate. Each zone is determined by the lowest average winter temperature recorded in a given area. Hardiness Zone information is included on all tree and plant product pages, so you know instantly whether a certain plant is likely to succeed where you live. Natural Resources Canada provides helpful options to find your zone:

This Cherry arrived in good condition, I planted it and it leafed out immediately. It was to replace one of the same, from the previous season, that did not thrive. I was assured when the next planting season arrived it would be replaced. It was without any hassle. Thank you
Michaelr Oleson –
So far so good. Trees overwintered fine and are looking good!
Elise Cundiff –
I am growing this tree in a large container. So far (1 year) it has grown and branched out well. It will be a few more years before it fruits.
Richard D Irvine –
bought 2 one lived and doing fine the other did not make it through the winter
Patricia Sutcliffe –
The cherry tree winter killed I guess. It was not very large and it simply didn’t make it over the winter. I was sorry to see this because now I have to start over.

Never came back up when spring arrived. Very disappointed.
BRIAN FOWLER –
Ordered four trees plus received two replacements for trees that were purchased the year before. They are growing nicely and survived an abnormally severe winter. All six bloomed this spring.
Jean Gallagher –
I was so excited to receive this tree. Planted it and it looked fine. Even sprouted some new growth. Died within the month.

I’ve had this tree for a growing season. It’s doing very well, in fact it produced two cherries already!
James Sabalaskey –
While I appreciate Stark Bro’s replacing the cherry trees from my original order as they died after planting, the second set resulted in one tree already died and the second one barely budding. Unclear if this is a result of the extreme cold Illinois winter or just a bad variety / tree. I haven’t contacted Starks as I understand it’s warranty limits one claim / return of the original purchase. Not sure if cherry trees are just too sensitive to shipping and planting.
