Expect large crops from this tree, which sports clusters of sunny golden fruit up and down all of the branches, rather than just at the tips.  of plums all throughout the tree. Heat-tolerant. I bought two! One is budding out, the other has not shown any signs yet!

I purchased a Shiro plum from Stark Bros last Spring to plant on my hill of fruit trees as a pollinator to another type of plum tree. It came in the mail in great condition. Once planted, it began to leaf out within days, and grew approximately 12 inches in height the first summer. I just checked on it again, hoping it had made it through the winter alright, and it is thriving – loaded with fat, green buds. I think this is going to be a great plum tree! I’ve ordered fruit trees online elsewhere, and this is the ONLY place I will shop from now on. Excellent quality! Five stars.

  3. Erik Vahlsing

Hardly any growth after a year. It’s a stick with leaves

I bought a Shiro plum tree and a Starking® Delicious™ from the Stark Bros. The Shiro was a “supreme” grade, the other one was a regular grade. When they arrived, the shiro was much smaller than the Starking® Delicious™, even I paid for an upgrade. It looked really pitiful with a thin trunk and broken/twisted tiny branches. It did not survive. The other tree performed well, and the two other trees (a methley and a Santa Rosa from a local store) also did well (therefore, I do not think the growing condition was an issue).

I received tree on time and planted it with miracle grow gardening soil. Unfortunately the tree never got going. For now It has one skinny branch with 3 leafs on it. I have sprayed some tree insecticide hoping it will help. May be I need to buy new one for fresh start. Thanks anyway.

  6. BARRY CANNON

My Shiro Plum tree is growing very nice, branches are about 10 to 12 feet tall. I am very please with my purchase. “No Plums just yet”

  7. Amy Perrin

While I would purchase it again I’m a little disappointed in the growth we gave seen this year. When we planted it last year it took off and grew well but have seen almost no growth since then.

  8. Richard Mayberry

I got this variety because I remember sitting in the neighbors yellow plum over 50 years ago, eating fresh, ripe plums. (With the neighbor’s permission of course). The order arrived in good shape last spring. Seems to be growing well so far this spring. Looking forward to fruit next spring. Probably won’t sit in the tree for a few years.

  9. Charger Charger

The tree arrived very healthy and is doing very well.
