Pollinator required to bear fruit
Better than the original.
Markedly more red than the original, with nearly 90% covered with deep purple/dark red stripes. The taste is similar to Empire, which has the sugar content of a Delicious and the famous flavor of a McIntosh. The flesh is crisp and white. The variety shows some resistance to rust, mildew and fire blight, which makes it easy to maintain. Ripens in mid-September. Pollinator required: Choose another early or mid-blooming apple variety. A licensed variety of Cornell University.

How do I find my Hardiness Zone?
Canada’s Plant Hardiness Zones will tell you which plants will do well in your particular climate. Each zone is determined by the lowest average winter temperature recorded in a given area. Hardiness Zone information is included on all tree and plant product pages, so you know instantly whether a certain plant is likely to succeed where you live. Natural Resources Canada provides helpful options to find your zone:
