Self-Pollinating

A heavy bearer of sour cherries, perfect for pie!

The Meteor Sour Cherry tree has parentage from Montmorency and an old Russian variety. This cherry tree offers a heavy yield of classic, tart cherries that resemble and ripen a week later than Montmorency.

This beautiful and compact tree has a spreading growth habit and lush foliage. The lovely white blooms make their appearance in April and are followed by bright red fruits with small free pits. These classic sour cherries are perfect for baking, juicing and of course, fresh eating.

Meteor is a self-pollinating cherry tree that was introduced by the Minnesota Breeding Farm in 1952. Prized for its tolerance to cold climates and spurring branches that produce an abundance of fruit. Also noted for its resistance to leaf spot.
