Pollination Not Required
An heirloom treasure. Mary Washington Asparagus is literally a “perennial favorite,” returning every year to give you loads of fresh spring asparagus. The nutty, buttery flavor is incomparable, no matter whether you steam, roast or grill it. It’s also very nutritious and contains many essential vitamins and minerals. The tender spears are uniform and grow in abundance, maturing into fern-like fronds by fall. Mary Washington is a rust-resistant variety, so it’s easy to maintain. Cold-hardy and heat-tolerant. Harvest either in April or May. Self-pollinating. Each package contains 10 bare-root asparagus crowns.
