Pollinator required to bear fruit

One of the country’s top 5 apples!

Phenomenal crunch, juiciness and sweetness have made Honeycrisp a nationwide favorite. The fruit is wonderfully aromatic and sweet as honey, with an explosively juicy, crisp bite. Small spaces are perfect for this naturally compact tree. Originates from Excelsior, Minnesota in 1974. Cold-hardy. Ripens in early September. Pollinator required: Choose any other apple variety.

Note: A properly-applied calcium supplement substantially improves the apple quality and makes the tree easier to grow.

The tree looks good. I hope it lasts longer than the other one I purchase from you. The first one snapped at the graft after it blossomed.

  2. ALANE WRIGHT

I don’t have fruit yet, but the tree is lovely with beautiful foliage one year later. .Hopefully next year on the fruit.

This is the second summer for the tree in the ground. It’s grown to about 5 feet tall, which is fine. But it’s doesn’t seem to be filling out with branches and leaves. There are some branches and leaves, of course, but it’s easy to tell there won’t be any fruit this year, either, unless there is a major change. I’ll just have to wait to see.

So since this is my favorite apple of all time, I can’t wait for the maturity of this new tree to happen. How long ? I don’t know. I am hoping for this year for it to start to bear fruit. Tree looks very healthy and has grown considerably since it was planted (last year or the year before??)

WOW!!! That’s what my customers say, right after their eyes get really big! The trees need extra care, but well worth it. You are missing something if you never try one of these apples. JIM

  6. DAVID BALLEAU

I’m really looking forward to our Stark Bros’ Honeycrip Apple tree to masture and begin producing fruit. We live in the foothills of Colorado and the tree is just coming out of winter dormancy and has yet to produce flowers or fruit. But we are eagerly awaiting this season!

  7. IZETTA BAKOS

Unfortunately this tree never made it though the winter two years ago thought it would of come back in the summer but it never did

  8. GREGORY BELOK

I have purchased fruit trees and shrubs from many different nurseries for over 30 years and Stark has the best customer service and products. They are always helpful and have easy guarantee policies if needed.

  9. Carol Emmerthal

My opinion on this tree is still up in the air. This tree is not seemingly growing very much. It does have some leaves this spring so I know it is alive but only a few. I hoped for greater growth. This is my favorite apple variety so I am hoping that this will thrive this year. We follow all directions. Have watered and fertilized. I looked healthy when it came but just did not take off as I would have expected. Will update later this summer

  10. STEVEN MEUNIER

For this year I ordered 10 Honeycrisp apple trees to augment the 6 I already had. I had requested a later delivery date from Stark Bros. because in the Northeast (Vermont), sometime in late spring we can still be buried in a ton of snow. The trees arrived when I requested, in great shape, ready for planting. Even a replacement tree I had requested back in Sept. of 2015 came at the same time!!! I am extremely satisfied with Stark Bros. and they will be my “go to” nursery from here on out!
