Self-Pollinating
A very popular strawberry with excellent flavor.
This superior variety will supply you with quarts of large, deep-red strawberries for pies, shortcake and your favorite preserves. Earliglow is the berry frequently planted by “u-pick” farms because of their pleasing shape, beautiful ruby-like color and of course, terrific taste. The plant are robust, fast growers and send out many runners that keep your crop going, year after year. Resistant to verticillium wilt and red stele root-rot. Cold-hardy. Ripens in June. Self-pollinating.

How do I find my Hardiness Zone?
Canada’s Plant Hardiness Zones will tell you which plants will do well in your particular climate. Each zone is determined by the lowest average winter temperature recorded in a given area. Hardiness Zone information is included on all tree and plant product pages, so you know instantly whether a certain plant is likely to succeed where you live. Natural Resources Canada provides helpful options to find your zone:

I have grown them for years and there is nothing better. I just wish they lasted a few more years. Best for shortcake, pies and ice cream. And in the morning for cereal.
ELIZABETH CREEDEN –
Strong growth with some leaves that have remained green all winter in eastern Massachusetts. There was a heavy crop last year and many buds this year although the weather is delayed and many rain days.

Our daughter bought us some for landscaping (white spring flower) – but the berries are so good we bought a bunch more, and we’re selling them. They command a premium being so early. If you’re shooting for pure poundage, you might try something else. If you want very early, great eating berries, I’d try these.

I highly recommend the Stark EarliGlo Strawberry plants! We received 27 amazingly healthy plants with roots averaging 6″ long. Every plant is thriving. What a joy!

This review only covers the buying experience since I ordered my strawberries for fall planting and it is now only February. This was not my first order with Stark Bros. and it won’t be my last- ordering trees soon- and I have had nothing but excellent service. Orders that are delayed due to season ship when they say they will and everything arrives in perfect condition. Though it’s too early to say about the strawberries my Weeping Willows that I ordered last spring grew like weeds this past summer and are doing great!
