About the Double Knock Out® Rose Plant
Experience the enhanced allure of the Double Knock Out® Rose! This variant dazzles with its richly petalled, cherry red blooms, offering a more opulent look than its predecessor, the original Knock Out® Rose. These medium-sized, mildly scented flowers embody the quintessential rose form and create a dramatic flair in any setting. The plant’s foliage is a striking purplish green, accented with white or pale yellow margins.

The brainchild of Will Radler in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the Double Knock Out® Rose, known botanically as rosa ‘Radtko’, emerged in the early 2000s. It has garnered prestigious accolades, including a 2004 Australian Gold Medal and the 2019 Master Rose designation from the American Rose Trials for Sustainability.

Using Roses
Roses offer more than visual delight; they are culinary treats when untreated with chemicals. Infuse rose petals into beverages, bake them into goods, or sprinkle over dishes for a vitamin C boost. They’re also perfect for crafting rose water or potpourri.

Growing Double Knock Out® Roses
This robust variety stands out for its vigorous growth, blooming from late spring to frost, without the need for deadheading. It boasts exceptional disease resistance, making garden maintenance a breeze.

Ideal as a focal piece or a hedgerow, Double Knock Out® Roses adapt well to various garden placements. They flourish in full sun and should be spaced adequately for health and aesthetics. Pruning is optional but recommended in early spring for shaping.

Container gardening is another viable option for these roses, ensuring they receive ample sunlight and water. When potting, choose a container double the size of the initial one to facilitate growth.

Protected by patent USPP #16,202, the Double Knock Out® Rose is a licensed product, combining ornamental beauty with practical gardening ease.

Invest in the Double Knock Out® Rose for its stunning, durable blooms and straightforward care, elevating your garden’s charm and vibrancy.
