How do I find my Hardiness Zone?
Canada’s Plant Hardiness Zones will tell you which plants will do well in your particular climate. Each zone is determined by the lowest average winter temperature recorded in a given area. Hardiness Zone information is included on all tree and plant product pages, so you know instantly whether a certain plant is likely to succeed where you live. Natural Resources Canada provides helpful options to find your zone:
BRIAN CUNNINGHAM –
Planted tree on hunting property in my wild life orchard. The hole filled with water when planted, was afraid of root rot, it survived. Did have to deep water once a week in drought of summer, it was worth it, the tree adapted fine and had good growth. I would recommend to mulch and water when you can for the first few years. Can’t wait till spring for the new growth and maybe bud, the deer will love em. I would definitely buy from Starks again. I have already ordered another 5 apple trees for another small orchard.

I am waiting for the tree to get bigger. I am using this tree as part of my espalier, so it will take a couple years to bear fruit. I also lost one of the cherry trees as wellas one of the peach trees over the winter. I was a little disappointed, but it is to be expected out here with the dry, wintry conditions.
